    Anyone sharpen gun drills?

I was coring a nice piece of tulipwood the other day, when a quarter inch piece of the carbide decided to leave home and snapped off my gun drill! Theres still a lot of carbide left, and i was just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen, and if they sent it to Sterling to have it fixed? Joe

i finally found the file at harbor freight that JoeyinCali is always talking about!

Those inside threads were a real pain in the ass! Lol. And before anyone says it, yes, im aware they arent perfect, but its a start. The joint screwed on nicely and im going to cut it to size next time im in the shop. I cut the tenon a tad too small, but it still worked. Joe

    cue maker?

What all is required to be able to say that you built a cue? If you call yourself a cue maker, or take credit for building a cue, how much of the actual building process should be done by you? I call myself a beginner cuemaker. I make simple cues, but they are all made by me. Often i turn...

I bought a bunch of jacobs 14n chucks for my lathe tailstock, but i did a little research and it appears that the collets are more accurate than my high dollar chucks. Im thinking about buying a couple sets for my big lathe and my mini lathe. I know they are great for a mill, i just wonder if...
