Highly figured Cocobolo Pen blank wanted

I have a very picky customer who wishes to have a Cocobolo pen made for him. All the blanks I have in stock are not what he's looking for. He wants "Maximum swirl patterns, oranges, whites, greens, and purples." As a first effort, I thought I'd check here. If anyone has such a blank, or blanks...

    Snakewood

Does anyone have tips on working with Snakewood? I got a piece of it in hopes of making a pen as a retirement gift. I've read a lot of the horror stories, but not too many tips. Drill blanks long so you avoid blowouts and drill a little then rest for 20-30 min. Other than that, I've not seen...

    Scrap wood laying around?

I've recently gotten into pen turning. I've gotten some blanks from flebay and I thought I'd try another source. If any cue makers have any scrap wood laying around ( 3/4" x 5" would be great) they'd like to get rid of, I'd like to buy some. Please PM or post pictures. Thanks in advance.

My wife and I are looking to join a handicap league together. She has never played in one before, and I've finally talked her into trying. Anyone in my area play in one that's looking for 2 players for a Wednesday or Thursday night? Since my wife hasn't played in a league, or much pool at...

    Positive Seller Review: Neilhin

I wanted to thank Neil for a seamless transaction we had. I see a lot of posts about not buying from this person or that. I thought it would be a breath of fresh air to acknowledge a smooth sale. After settling on a price, I purchased a Jacoby Edge Hybrid shaft from Neil on 4-17. Neil...

    Wall rack clips

I figured a cuemaker would know and have the best input on this. Would a rack with the rubber(?) clips on them harm a cue in any way? The picture below are ones like I'm talking about. Thanks for any replies.

    Is this a good deal?

I'd like to make this into something to replace tips and shaft cleaning. Does this sound like a good deal? Thoughts or advice in doing so, other than buying one that's already intended for cue repair? http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/tls/3637098491.html Thanks to all that reply

    Break tip shape

I ordered and finally received a new jump/break cue last night. I had a white diamond tip installed with hopes of it staying attached. When I unpacked it, I noticed it had been shaped to what looks a dime radius. I've never had a break tip shaped like this, so it brings me to the question of...

    White Diamond Tips

When I searched for this, it brought up a few articles from many years ago. Has anyone had any recent experience using these tips on their jump/break cue?

    Brunswick Bristol pocket change

I have a Brunswick Bristol that currently has a ball return system installed. The problem I have is where the balls come back. The opening is pretty small. My hands aren't the smallest, so I have some troubles getting the balls out. With that said, I'd like to put in drop pockets. I...
