Lighten up, don't take things so personal. If I'm ever "trying to rain on your parade" believe me you would probably know about it:D

I kind of get to know people based on their postings, and reading many of yours on the IPT forum, I have a formed opinion about "memikey."

I'm only on this forum to have fun, not to engage in a war of words with you. If you want to pick my words apart and get into a debate about semantics, word meanings or reading comprehension, you may not like it. I don't care who you are or where you live.

AND FWIW, the hotel room at The Venetian was first class -- WITH A CAPITAL "C" for the word "class" and not "first." It's my post and I'll write it the way I want to, to include capitalizing which word I want to as well.

Jam - forget it - enjoy it while it lasts - and remember, they are just jealous.

Sure is a nice tote bag the players received.

Think they bought it at K-Mart?

I usually do "ignore," but after a few repetitive jabs, I respond in kind.

I may not be able to run two balls in a row today, but when it comes to words, putting it down on paper, I can state with 100-percent confidence that I am the Efren Reyes of my world, which is transcription. I may make a typo every now and then, but when push comes to shove, I will triumph over the long haul when it comes to capitalization, punctuation, grammar, and the like. :D

I'm not sure where they bought 'em, but I thought it was a very nice touch to give each one of the 200 competitors their own personal IPT duffle bag, their names printed on them, full of goodies. :)

I'm still going through all my pics from the event. I don't like to get my picture taken, but I sure do like to snap 'em of others. When the Poker Star Mike the Mouth was on site, everybody was checking out the colloquy exchanged between him and Mike Sigel, pool's "Mike the Mouth." Keith grabbed my camera out of my hands and said, "Here, let me take a picture of you and Mike the Mouth," to which I very reluctantly complied.

I have no idea what that big red dot is on Mike the Mouth's chest.

Howdy, Gunn_slinger! ;) In the background of that pic is the Hustlin USA Clothing vendor's booth. They sure do have a great assortment, a little something for everybody, in a wide variety of colors too!

BTW, Slivka is already in NY, I heard through the grapevine. We'll be joining him next week for the Joss Turning Stone Casino event. Keith came in second place at the last one. I hope he plays well. He will have to take his 8-ball cap off and switch it to 9-ball for all of next week. The field looks tough as nails!

Here's a shot of Executive Producer Jon Denny and Kevin Trudeau watching on as Mike Sigel and Poker's Mike the Mouth bark at each other. The lady in white is the IPT commentator, Rebecca. She's a real good-looker and smart as a whip!

Check out this venue, BTW. Look at the detail that goes into the room itself. The whole joint looked like that. It was like taking a stroll in an Italian cathedral, hand-painted murals, pictures, plush carpet. It really set the stage for a classy atmosphere, one which was enjoyed by all attendees.

Here's another pic which didn't come out too good because of lighting, but it's Executive Producer Jon Denny counting out money for a photo shoot between Ike Runnels of Chicago and Keith. Check out the curiosity of Larry Nevel looking at that big stack of cabbage! :D

Here's another shot of my new friend from England, Brian Saleh (depicted on the left), posing with Bernie Friend. Bernie was a joy to be around in Vegas. Always upbeat and full of enthusiasm, Bernie is a positive-thinking kind of guy, which I find quite refreshing. :)

Here's a pic of the 2005 U.S. Open Champion, one of his most recent titles, Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan. It was taken on the first day at the players meeting out in the front hallway. He's another one of those players who's always upbeat and fun to be around!

After a week of non-stop play, every single one of the competitors was exhausted.

Alex Pagulayan was playing his heart out, but took a quick recess between matches out in the front hallway to give his feet a rest. I heard many players state that they were very tired after playing 5 matches every single day.

I think this pic in particular of Alex, taken the day before the finals, really says it all. The format is grueling, and only the strong will survive!

Thanks for the pictures JAM, you're the greatest. I'm hoping that Keith does very well on this tour, and that you get to accompany him to tournaments overseas. You will be TOTALLY amazed at the hospitality provided at top hotels in places like Singapore and Hong Kong, and perhaps understand where memikey is coming from. Las Vegas is about as close as you find in North America from what I've seen, I don't doubt that it was impressive.

Thanks again for the pictures and report. I was especially pleased to see the photo of Keith and the youngster in Denver (?). He will remember that for the rest of his life, a big TAP TAP TAP to Keith for that one !

What about the Austin kid from page 1 who went hill-hill with Kid Dynomite? Is he still playing?
