pool players love to go on and on about how the rail nurse killed the game

but for them, its ok to watch the best break and run 9 ball racks over and over

I have the thought the same for some time now. It is interesting, but I am also not a big 9 ball fan.

I will state an opinion - the clocks are more emblematic than just ticking away.

Mental Game

Just wondering how everyone stay focus and competitive during a match. So much of this game is mental. There are days when I come in with the right mindset and play lights out. When we are playing teams my partner always remind me to KILL and Pedal to the Metal to get us motivated . Other days I’m just hitting like I’m have no clue. Need to learn how to play in the zone. Any thoughts on thís?

Mental focus i struggle with myself
Only advice id give is get all the competition experience you can, play under pressure as often as can

Thanks Texas. I tend to let up when I’m up also. That sometimes come back and bite me in the ass! Then I say to myself “I’ve should play like I’m down”. SMH

this may be of no help but i was struggling big time for a month playing pool
my buddy observed me and told me i was not getting down enough

i was standing over the shot like a carom player

once i got down lower and got a better look at where i wanted to hit, my game went back up
i think ill try this tonight plyaing straight rail at home
i dont get any competition anymore in it which is too bad
