We have all been waiting to see the forgotten other Pro player from Missouri. I have never seen him play live and can't wait. He said he is in good stroke to play banks and will give Justin everything he can handle. We are talking about an all around in the fall too. I'm paying the winner $700 and 2nd $500.

I really appreciate all your support while I try to entertain you and keep these guys playing pool.

Danny is taking it very seriously and excited to let people see him play. He is coming up to practice and teach a little next week.

JB Ultimate Rugged cases, BK Rush, Revo, Air 2, Hanshew, and much more available for sale.

Good to see him play. I'll be tuning in. Good play by both.

Can you explain how the racks are played? Is it a safe break (generally). Do they play to 8 points per rack and then re-rack? Or do they play each rack to the last ball, regardless of score for that rack? When one player reaches 23 point, regardless of how many racks it takes, that set is over? And they play 3 sets like that? Is it alternating break?

The only recorded match I've seen of full rack banks was Daulton vs Varner by Accu-stats about 20 years ago. Now I wonder if I'm remembering wrong and it may have been short rack, I forget.

In person, I saw Eddie Abraham play Jason Miller full rack banks at the expo for a 3k set. The played race to 3 or 4, whoever gets to 8 first per rack wins that rack. That must have been 15 years ago, maybe 20. Miller won 3-1.

Brendan,

Someone told me John Schmidt was coming to the STL Players Club soon.

I don't have to tell you what match-up would make the greatest coup in the history of pool ...

Straight Pool. Race to 627.

Now that's a good one right there. Maybe they are flying John in to do commentary on this match?

Might be best not to speculate too much and wait and see what happens. It’s a delicate thing handling matter and antimatter in proximity.

I was just engaging in a bit of woofing, then got afraid I might spoil your action if you really were working on that other match-up ...

A couple thoughts on this match-up between Bergman and Harriman:

Everyone I ever met at Billiards of Springfield (now gone but not forgotten) thought the world of Danny and always looked up to him as a hometown pool hall hero. Please pass that on to Danny.

Mr. Williams aka "Cream," the 90-year old bank specialist at Cue & Cushion, had never played anything but this style of banks before we matched-up. I had to go over the rules for short rack banks with him first ... and he still beat me! Anyway, I'd pay for Mr. William's front row seat at this event plus a ride to the venue (if needed*) just so "Cream" could watch the full rack banks in person.

Even better: Consider putting "Cream" in the booth with Mark Wilson for commentary!

* I know that he can drive his own damn self, thank you!

more info

This event is tomorrow night. This is my pool company, The Players Club. I am pushing hard to keep putting on fun matches people want to see. This one is sounding better and better every day. After seeing Danny practicing here last week and just knowing Justin and his record, this is going to be a lot of great pool. Expecting huge highlights.

Justin is a high level world class pro. Danny is uber talented and a bank specialist.

Thanks and if you can please buy the stream. I promise I am trying hard for pool.
