WAIT, WHAT?

Oops, 9th Circus.

Guatemala has just signed a safe third country arrangement.

This makes the injunction in the 9th Circus, and the case in DC, both moot.

That case was predicated on the presumption that people could apply for asylum in Mexico -- which has refused to sign a safe third country agreement. But existing US Immigration Code along with International law has an iron-hard clause in it that a safe third country agreement is a hard bar to coming to another nation after passing through such a safe third country and applying for asylum.

Those coming in the "caravans" are nearly all passing through Guatemala. This terminates anyone who does so, immediately, from applying for asylum here in the United States as they're required to do so in Guatemala.

Game's up lefties.
