Efrens run through dcc that was so dominant, accustats had to combine 2 matches to have a DVD that was over an hour long.

All the 2008 us open 1p matches from csi.

Shannon v. Reyes @southern classic.

Me, beating anyone.

Like the classic Earl vs Efren match, the SVB vs Lion match has it all...
...great shooting and a dramatic come-back.
....gotta get it from TAR

Donny Mills vs SVB

Dennis vs Chohan 1-2

Color of Money obviously, even though I don't find myself going back and watching it the way I do with other old matches.

Landon beating Earl

Color Of Money, Earl vs Efren

Danny D. vs Ronnie - One Pocket

All the Robocop vs TRex matches

A personal favorite is Kimmer vs Earl.. they played
three sets 9 ball for the final, Kimmer got it.

Landon beating Earl in 10b at the SouthernClassic in Tunica is a good watch. Its on Youtube. No i don't have the link.

I second this one, if you can fade Earl's whining trying to get to Landon, you'll get a spectacular performance by Shuffet.

Best match I ever saw was one that somehow Pat Fleming missed recording while on his dinner break:

1998 U.S. Open Hot Seat match between Buddy Hall and Tang Hoa. At 9-9 Tang failed to hit a rail, but the ref didn't call it, leaving Buddy a fraction of an inch from the rail, jacked up with no easy shot and no way to play safe.

Buddy studied it for a good 2 or 3 minutes, then calmly jacked up and made a great short rail bank into the far corner pocket. He then finished off the rack and broke and ran the next game to close out the set.

They met again in the finals, but after Tang jumped out to an early lead, Buddy took control and won by something like 13 to 5. ACCU-STATS got that one, but they missed the far better match that had preceded it. I'm glad I was there to see it in person.

As others have said, the Color of Money - Efren vs. Earl. Fantastic ending. Some amazing pool from both of them.

Sigel v. Zuglan 150 and out at the 1992 (I think) US 14.1 Open in New York.

Alex vs. SVB TAR (amazing comeback performance).

Varner vs. Sigel (the "Miss"). Another amazing comeback performance with a surprise ending.

Efren vs Rempe .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4maz6bcF3WQ&t=1432s
It was so exciting, The Miz and the crowd lost it at the end .
Jimmy Reid and other pros in the background as well.
The place was packed .
Sad that the Commerce Casino no longer hosts pro tournaments .

Yep, I remember that one... Efren's cue ball control was perfect.

No casinos hosting tournaments any more, but
that's probably due to NO tours. Commerce Casino, Bicycle Club, etc.
man, we used to have some POOL in Cali.

Yup. The Commerce Casino wanted to host the Legends of 9-Ball again in 1998.
But, mackey happened.

Mine would also include the HK Challenge (Color of Money, Earl vs Efren race to 120, etc...)

There is a Nick Varner vs Mike Sigel match that I think was nicknamed "the corner ball match". Don't remember the exact AccuStats video it's in. Nick made some great shots after Mike went ahead by a bunch of games.

Medina basically running out the set on Incordona (I think he set the tournament run out record then).

For a "modern" classic, the first TAR SVB vs Duel 10 ball is great, commentary with the people talking about SVB in his early breaking through to next level days was neat to listen to.

have only seen "the color of money"- efren vs. earl in non-sequential chunks, but yea, what a race, and finish!

that efren vs. rempe is a great one, too- love the miz reaction at the end :D

I haven't seen several of the other matches mentioned, but will certainly keep y'all's recommendations in mind as time goes on.

I think it's interesting and potentially revealing about pool, considering what makes the sport at the highest level, "great."

thanks all for the replies!

Don't know about the whole match but Chris Melling vs. Mika Immonen has to be in here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKD7EdzMjAM

Those 3 shots alone make it one of the best matches ever.

you know, funny you mention it- as familiar as I am with that run out, I never once even thought of watching the whole match. I think to me, one game does not a whole match make.
that said, now I'm going to look up melling vs. mika :D
