Hows Boyes going to do commentary on 64 world class players and 96 numerous players at same time with 2 different prices? Over priced.

That's just a fancy way of saying the first 4 days (96 numerous players) and the final 4 days (64 players).

Pretty strong field for qualifiers. 57 players (56 playing all 4 days)
If we consider sub 700 as dead money, then about half are dead money.
16 will qualify so in theory (and if the world is linear) those 16 above FR 750 will qualify

Short Race to 5 (Alternate break) so at most 1 hr per match so there will be many matches on stream each day

That's a stronger field than the recent SBE

Big match of 1st round qualifier today is Chang Yu Lung v Ruslan Chinakhov
Interesting, there is a woman playing Szu-Ting Kuo. Shows her FR as 0 but according to www.fargorate.com her FR is 710 Will be interesting to see how far she goes
They missed out Fargo of some players.Sanjin Pehlivanovic is strong young player , went quite deep in a major international event recently at least 750. Duong Quoc Hoang is 778.
Mark Todd wasn't he a strong player from some time ago
:grin-square:

Where is the 48 player list of people that were automatically qualified for the main event?

I see Jeffery Ignacio in the qualifier today yet he is ranked #30 by WPA. If he's ranked #30, how does he not automatically qualify?

'Cause it is only a 64 player event (as unfortunately the WPA 10 Ball will be). Other than the automatic invites for top 16 WPA, Asia only got allotted 8 sots. The BCA got 6, and it is in the US, LOL.

Ahh ok, thanks for clarifying. Not that I agree with it, but it's their tournament to run how they want. It's just a shame when top players are left out because of their location. Kinda reminds me of the electoral college debate in a way lol.

So they have to win 4 races to 5 to make it to the Final 4

Final 4 of each qualifier goes to the main event.

After each day, it'll be easier to make it into the final 4.

Not too bad despite the short races.
