Sorry I didn't even check AZ over the weekend, so I'm late adding my confirmation.

I'll be there, and will be happy to donate.

Thanks Steve, and I am all in. This post was hard to find and should be put in the Main Forum Where most people hang out. I appreciate the hard work you put into this. I love supporting the AZroom and paid last year and did not even come, it is just good to see the users enjoy themselves. Folks are always sticking their heads in the room wondering whats going on and agree that it should be promoted more. Intruders IMO are future members and should be looked at as growth. I know the coin tables make a ton of money but when you look at it there maybe a way for Diamond to have a flat fee for tables in a seprate room for those interested in joining AZbilliards (you know like a late fee) that would benifit both AZ and them.

I just posted a link in the main forum, hopefully it will make it easier to find and generate more interest.

Jerry spoke to Chad and Greg this week and the room is definitely happening.

Jerry and I are both going to be at Derby this year so it would probably be best if we handled the room this time.

Unless someone has a better idea, we will just make a list of forum members who have sent in cash for the room and someone will have to be on the list in order to play.

I do want pro players to have access to the room (within reason). It will NOT turn into a pro practice room. I just don't think the pros should have to pay to use the room.

It will contain two 9 footers for everyone's use.

Any other ideas? Should be try to put together a tourney of some kind? Any interested in taping any action that breaks out? (I hear they gamble a little at Derby)

Good news! I'll throw an extra $50 on top of the room charge.

Glad you guys can make it.

one, two, or 3 late night tourny would be great. I would suggest a blind-draw, 8-ball scotch double. That's always fun. Or a 3-ball tournament. :)

You can do Challenge A Pro with Alex, Shane, Efren, Jeanette, etc...

i intend to support the room even though i dont use it much.

I am curious as to who makes up the difference in the cost of the room & how much is collected from members?

OK, Boradriver has offered to supply badges for everyone again this year so lets get this going.

Payment can be sent to me via paypal at housepro@azbilliards.com. Please include a note as to your user name so that I can keep the list.

I will post a list of users who I have received money from here in this thread.

As for a tourney, when we had the room at the BCA event a couple years ago, we tried a tourney and it never happened. I assume it was because folks were playing matches in the big tourney or just got distracted with other things. If we try to put together an event at Derby, does everyone think we will see the same problem?

Will definitely work on something with a couple pros while we are there.

Still waiting to hear if anyone wants to get involved with taping any action that might take place there.

Payment sent for MICHAEL HOANG and CORY DUQUAINE. We'll be busy working, but heck, maybe we can sneak in a night or two to relax.

People are trapped at the Derby. Vegas has a lot of other distractions in the evenings to do such as seeing strippers....uh, I mean other nice casinos to see (I assume that's where it is since you said BCA).

I'll play anyone race to 5 for $10. I'll allow taping, but I do charge $2750.00 appearance fee.

I personally would love to be taped, if you catch me play for money. I mean, how often do you get to be shown worldwide? How often do you get an opportunity to be known to everyone else? It's not like most AZ'ers are hustlers (or maybe I am wrong).

Wow, only Paypal????

In past years we found great resistance to the idea. Many people (me included) have had terrible experience with Paypal and will NOT use it. Personal check was the only way we collected in the past.

If there is some other way to pay, I will.

Check or credit card is fine with me...but no Paypal:). Sorry.

Sent in my donation. I'm up for a mini-tournament and maybe even a cheap set if I'm not a walking zombie at the time.

WBM, if you want to send me a check I would be happy to paypal your amount for you. If interested, just tell me how much you are sending and I will go ahead and pay for you.

Let me know,
Daniel
