Out of curiosity, did you Lou or John every watch the match on YouTube afterwards? In its entirety?

I was there part of the first day in person. I never watched it on YouTube afterwards, maybe about 30 seconds:)

I can watch. It’s a good event and I have on while I’m doing other things around the house.

Can you tell us the story on your avatar, my friend. Looking a little pale...

I was in Las Vegas, several years ago, for the umpteenth time and I was watching this face sculptor guy on Freemont Street while I was killing time.

It was during the Christmas/New Year week and it was freezing outside when I came out of the casino and after watching him a while, he asked if I wanted him to make one of me. Since I knew it would take about 30 minutes, I wasn't going to sit there and freeze so I went into the ABC Store and bought me a beanie cap to cover my head.

Long story, short...he created a masterpiece, but it still didn't capture my true beauty which would have been impossible for anyone to do.

I took a picture of the sculptor and used it as my avatar.

My head is still sitting in a box in the closet.

I may be willing to sell it, if you need some kind of beautiful object to adorn your pool room wall. :)

In edit: I was going to have the sculptor made into a tiny 3-D hologram decal that I could put on the butt of one of my cues when I had them refinished and covered with clear coat. Keep SOBs from running off with my cue.

Funny I havent been in Vegas since 99 so I didnt recall ABC stores there. I know they are all over Hawaii. I googled them, they are in Vegas😉

Nice story and I think he did a fine job! ( I have no idea what you actually look like. If you resemble Grizzly Adams,or PeeWee Herman , artist was a bit off.)

Chicken wing master stroke!

John must have been playing hooky the day they had the "keep your head down" lesson. The problem with jumping up like that is it inspires confidence in your opponent.

funniest part

The funniest part is that john had snuck in a coach for the entire first day. Can you imagine coaching him? "OK john, the fourteen will go. Thin it and three rails to the seven. Natural shape on the four, from there a little draw for the six ball."

john goes to the table. "ARWWK" He takes a mighty swing, rearranging half the balls on the table and totally ending any chance of executing the run. That is how it went inning after inning. The coach's advice was good, for one shot! After that, john was so far from what he was instructed to do that the coach is trying to figure out a new battle plan while wondering how in the hell did he get himself in this mess!

I just watched the first game and contrary to what's been said a million times on here, Lou played pretty good and made some nice shots to win that game 8-0 (especially the sweet two rail bank on game ball). Maybe it went downhill from there, but it looks like Lou could have beaten him every game if he wanted to.
