I spoke to an IPT ref on Saturday (I will not out him here). However, we were discussing the IPT and its possible demise. He told me the following....
The IPT and HO had plans to have 12 tables at every event, streamed live on the internet. Through HO Casinos, you could bet just about everything, online WORLDWIDE (winner of the tournament, winner of a certain match, winner of a certain game, even a players chances of getting out in a certain rack0. Then, the online gambling ban happened. Once Ho saw this, he hiccupped on the whole deal, and decided to rethink the whole thing. IF the gambling act had not passed, I think KT and Ho would have made a S**TLOAD of money, and we WOULD have had the greatest pro tour the world had ever seen.
