Sean Maddocks – Record Breaker

http://www.snookerbacker.com/

Quote .

" It might not be a name that snooker fans are familiar with yet, but Liverpool junior Sean Maddocks recently wrote himself into the Guinness Book of Records, usurping none other than Ronnie O’Sullivan in becoming the youngest player ever to make a 147 maximum break in competitive tournament play. INTRODUCING: The Reny’s Ark Players v Fans Snooker Prediction Championship :

http://www.snookerbacker.com/

Quote .

" In an increasingly rare moment of genius yesterday I had a light bulb moment. It’s long been leveled at us mere mortals that we don’t know what we are on about when it comes to snooker and only the players themselves can truly know the ins and outs of all things baizey. Well, I thought, why don’t we put that theory to the test?

So, I quickly sought permission from Barry Hearn to run a snooker prediction contest, pitting the wits of self-proclaimed shrewdies against some of the sharpest cuemen in the world. I had to check with our beloved chairman that this was not going to land any of the potters in lumber before I approached them to see if they were interested.

It’s a fun contest, it’s not at all linked to betting or the bookies, but what it will do is confirm once and for all who knows best, us numpties or the baize boys. The format will be announced in due course but in the meantime I’ve managed to secure a championship sponsor and (drum roll………) IT’S NOT A BOOKIE!!! "

#TEAMBAIZEBOYS V #TEAMNUMPTY.....

It doesn't look like any of us made the team selections but remember when fun was fun and it was good to express opinions ?

Those were the days my friend , we thought they would never end.....

Barry Hearn , Jason Fergusson etc cant fine snooker fans , security kicks them out the building .

Armchair fans , I guess they can get timed out for expressing opinions so it's on with UK Freeview Channel 37 for the Welsh Open . ;):p:thumbup:

Judd Trump under the microscope as the World Championship at the Crucible beckons

https://www.sportinglife.com/snooker/news/the-puzzle-of-judd-trump/145275

I didn't quite know where I should post this but I guess 'Miscellaneous Stuff' section is appropriate .:wink::grin-square:

Ever watched or played a Chess match and you can see the incoming Checkmate and as your opponent about to play the final moves , oops , he's tumbled the pieces and it's game over !

That's what it's like watching Judd Trump play . Way too many reckless shots at the key moments .

The Sporting Life's Simon Crawford was a pretty hopeless tipster as was his stand in then Simon Crawford came back for anther attempt but was just as bad , now Richard Dunn sits in the tipster hotseat , just as useless as the rest !:wink::thumbup:

I don't know if Richard Dunn was suggesting Judd Trump for the Worlds but .

Lordy! A much as I'd like to see Ronnie win a sixth, the Crucible is a long slog and those odds seem a little too short. How does this compare to when Davis and/or Hendry were at their respective peaks? Selby more recently?

Hi Bob !

Lordy! A much as I'd like to see Ronnie win a sixth, the Crucible is a long slog and those odds seem a little too short. How does this compare to when Davis and/or Hendry were at their respective peaks? Selby more recently?

Good to hear / read from you again !

If memory serves , hope I'm correct , long time ago Hendry was a 4/6 favourite , won in a hack canter . :D

Ronnie was 9/2 Favourite last time he won , I think , it's in the threads if you scroll down .

Selby ? You mean the ' Nosferatu the Vampyre' of Snooker is fresh in need of a new blood transfusion his victims/players have worked him out alright , no point playing him needing snookers , Ref , rack'em up I'll do a century break against Selby next frame ! :D

Every Snooker fan in the world wants Ronnie to do it but even if he makes the final there will be an opponent so your guess is as good as mine .

Speculate to accummulate so who makes Ronnie's head go down the most ?:rolleyes:

Just saying , draws still to be made but the value will be gone .
