Over this last weekend my shop in Houston, Texas, was broken into and many things were taken. Not very nice for an 82 year old that is trying to enjoy his “Golden Years”.

Any help in recovering the products and tools taken would certainly be appreciated. Below is a partial list of things taken. They amount to approximately $50,000. (Grand Larceny)

Six, Four Point Cues with two shafts each (some wrapped, some not) and none of the shafts were finished out. All signed by Richard Black and dated 2018.

Three cues by Scott Gilmore. Three different designs and all signed by Scott. Definitely “one-of-a-kind” works. All completely finished.

From the shop:

An 80 gallon Air Compressor

A small vacuum pump

A Red roll-around tool chest and filled with hand tools

A roll-around thickness sander

A Red Milwaukee radio

A heavy Grizzley 6” sander

A buffing double wheel on stand

Two miniature table saws

A 20 ton hydraulic jack

A Dumore Tom Thumb tool post grinder

A small propane torch set

Four spray guns for finishing

Quite a few other things including chemicals

Sorry to hear about this, I'm up here in Abilene TX, I'll pass this info on, maybe something will pop up here that will lead us to the culprit. Needless to say this kinda crap really pisses me off.

My God, they cleaned him out. Wondering if he has video cams set up anywhere. I would hope so.

A holes

I detest thieves and wish our criminal justice system was not so "touchy feely" in dealing with them. My little hick town in Alaska and the nearby places seems to be plagued by them. I think the problem is every where.

Hoping Mr. Black gets his stuff back and they serve hard time on a chain gang. I also hope they become victims of other thieves some day, so they know how it feels. Flog them!

That had to be done by more than one guy. Surely some of those things will be seen at some point. Watch out for Craig's List and Ebay, and that sort of thing.

This is terrible... IDK if Richard has any pics of the cues or
equipment.. POS's robbing a craftsman of his tools and
likelihood.. realy shitty. Seems like it's someone who knows
RB's set up... hope they catch the bastard(s).

PS, I agree it's gotta be more than one guy... a rollaway full
of tools, floor jack, etc. is heavy stuff.

Doesn't RB live out by some lake? Take some balls to break-in and steal all that. I take he wasn't home hopefully? Any neighbors nearby at all? Hope they catch the maggot(s).

very important for the cops to take fingerprints. they dont like to as its a bother and costs money to process them. make a stink and they will but any one doing this likely has been caught before and has his prints identifiable.

i thought his shop was at his home. and either way someone had to know what he had there as they had to pull in a truck and or trailer. so that narrows the suspects.

neighbors have cameras that may have caught the perps driving up.

cops wont do enough without the help of the victims.
