Just got home after a proper session.
This cue moves the ball like a steering wheel!
I asked Shelby to try and make the cue hit stiff and with a forward balance.
That is exactly what he made me.
The build quality is borderline perfection!
The veneers are super vibrant and there's no color bleeding whatsoever.
Super sharp points that showcase those butterfly sections as nice as I've ever seen.
The shafts have one of the most player friendly tapers around and I love it.
I chose a hard thoroughbred tip and found it to be a perfect crisp hit on the lbm ferrule.
Played fantastic right from the get go.
Shelby shared that he prefers juma, but I really like the hard hit of lbm personally.
I feel like this is a perfect cue for me. I didn't need to compensate or adjust my stroke or aim, and it plays like I've had it for years.
One of the few cues that just feels natural to me.
Firm, crisp, hard hit but with tons of feed back.
Not dull whatsoever. This thing almost has a pulse. Lol. Very lively!
The hit of a well constructed full splice cue is 2nd to none!
The ziricote seems to be a nice hard wood
compliments the tone of birds eye really well.
It makes a beautiful sound like a piano note when striking the ball.
The inlay work in the joint ring was a monumental
surprise and Shelby really out did himself.
I couldn't be happier with the look and hit of this cue.
Without doubt or hesitation, I can say you won't be
disappointed with his work.
I can't thank Shelby enough.
Posting some better pics soon*
