Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I blew my cool, I apologized for it once. Jamie is an asshole at the pool table so he deserved all the kind words I had for him while he was trying to take my chips. After we found the chips we hugged and life was all good. I wont throw peoples chalks anymore, spike cue balls, or hurl chips. I'm just gonna play good enough to win next time. I got pretty fortunate along the way but I think we all did. Thats what happens when people cant make 3 balls in a row, you get a total crapshoot and whoever plays ok is gonna win. With that said. I'm off to play in the APA. holla back.

P.S. I didnt call Spimp any derogatory names.

Thats like a 32 man, 3 day tournament though Jason...and its on bar tables. No way that format can even hope to accomplish what we want. I am going to do something different with antes. I wanna talk it out with a couple people. I think Justin actually might be a good person because he got a ton of chips fairly early on. I think the lower antes kept some people in it that should have busted out. I'm sure we will all be in the pool hall between now and then, I do want to work it out. I'm thinkin if we just raise it every half hour after the first hour that will get us there much quicker.

I agree haha! Big Dogs just lost one of my favorite bar tenders. A good waitress would help out, I think if we would have had a dedicated waitress for the ring game alone, she would have made a $100 or more just on us in tips. If you keep my glass full and its before midnight I generally will keep drinkin it up.

I'd work there 2 nights a week no doubt or do some promotional stuff on the side, but that costs money. Fixing all the tables properly, will cost money. Lots could be done but minus a couple employees i think the place is good.

I think doing one chip for the first hour was fine. It could then have went up to 2, then 3, 4, 5, 7,10, 15 every half hour. That would drop the tournament from 9 hours down to 5.

One thing that will need to be changed is: You can't have the "Frosty" table stop every hour while the other two tables keep playing for 4-5 minutes to finish their game. We need a timer to go off so it's random which table plays a little longer.

The thing is we would finish, I would call time but it just took everyone so long to get out. The volume of games played was way less than I thought, I thought we would average 12 games an hour and most hours my tables were lucky to get 8 or 9 games in. I counted 18 games the first two hours, then I started drinkin. Haha
