I saw someone already answered, but if you think about it, the butt sleeve is going to be thicker than the forearm, so if you have parallel boxes the gap between the top of the boxes will be smaller going towards the joint due to the taper of the cue. Every box cue I have ever seen(which isn't a ton), is the same way.

Is the lightening bolt reference a name of the cue or is there something I missed?
