Hi Guys

I'm a local friend of Chaz, investor and probably his first customer.

He's asked me to come on board as a "managing partner" to keep the parts flowing in, and cases flowing out.

I'm an operations / project manager. I know nothing about leather working, so, relax I won't touch your case. I'm just going to try and deal with the emails, ordering, shipping and some design ideas.

This is a hobby / side business for us both right now, meaning we have day jobs. The plan at present is to finish up existing orders, and make sure everyone is happy.

We are NOT taking new orders right now. If you want to EMAIL me (as in NOT PM) I will add your name to a waiting list, and we will take your orders on a first come, first served basis.

We made a trip over to visit a supplier the other day.

This is a quickie cel pic I snapped of Chaz's work bench.

Yes, those are tags, and yes, everything is "real".

This is kind of the direction things will likely be heading, when we "re-open for orders" in a few weeks.

Chaz is (FINALLY!) working on a case for himself out of the "grey stuff" on the left, and well.... it's understated leather porn, and "smells like peanuts".

I'd be willing to check these out. Does he have any finished that I could check out, or are the first ones still in the process of being made? Also, do you have an price estimate for a 3X6?

That's what we're doing right now, is catching up, getting our head above water, so there's no more missed deadlines or rushed cases.

We are working with a supplier on internals for the Pro-lite style, 2x4 and 3x6. They are really nice.

To answer your question about price, it's going to vary greatly, as much as 4-5x difference depending on the material, between say untooled cowhide and real crocodile.

I have a couple combinations in mind, like Ostrich / Ostrich leg, and Shark / Stingray, that should be very sexy. Chaz also has a couple oil tanned, crusty looking reg'lar ole cowhide that I think are going to make really cool, and less expensive cases.

We will be running a couple VERY BRIEF GRAND OPENING SPECIALS on the first few exotics we do, so stay tuned.

OP, Can I get a status check on my case? I traded my OB to Chaz mid-April. I did forget to make one request- that it be able to fit a 32" butt. Not sure what that will do to my delivery but any info would help. Can't seem to call up Chaz.

Here's some stats to identify it:

dark brown leather
handle + strap
justis style case
no pockets
32" butt/shaft
tooling up to chaz to let his creativity flow

I was originally supposed to be one of the cases started this week. I need to send chaz my money but I havnt heard form him in a while. I have emailed and messaged him but I lost his phone number and cant call him. 3x6 BAMF case?

Eric...

Just got off the phone with Eric, I'm glad someone is stepping up to help Chaz out with these cases. I cant wait to get mine but am willing to wait for perfection. Eric seems like a straight shooter no BS and was very helpful in finalizing my case design and features. Cant wait to see this old school vintage looking case.

Thanks for the patience and support guys.

This little hobby venture is more complex and time consuming then we even anticipated!

We are going to SLOW DOWN, and straighten everyone out, then strike out anew.

Hang in there, we will get you something you're VERY happy with.

I totally agree. I spoke and emailed with Eric over the weekend about my order and definately seems to be about the business. I look forward to getting my custom Chazdillion case.

What would it hurt for an "update pic" for the people waiting on their cases? Or are you "banned" from the camera? :idea:

Not to be rude - but I am confused. I don't really see the reason for your thread.

And if you could take a pic of his work bench then surely you could take a pic of his cases.

Simply email or call the people that you are behind on & let them know that Chaz is working hard and has not forgotten about their order.

I'll let you in on a little secret for the most important thing for a business to concentrate on -

Get the money in the register.

This is something that Walmart, with all their success, fails at. Think about how many times you go there and have to wait in line when you are ready to check out.

My money is in Chaz's register, has been for months now.
I talk or text Chaz whenever I feel it is needed. Yes, he is way overdue on delivery, but he always takes my calls. (He is supposed to hand deliver the case tomorrow night)
I can understand someone trying to help organize the events in the case making business, but I asked a simple question today over email of "who on AZ has recevied their case"
The reply from Eric:
"Not sure, we work opposite schedules and I am playing catch up on who is owed what."

You should have gotten the answer to my question before you replied.
Someone in your role should have the answers, and pictures.

Just a tip. Measure your 32" cue including the pin and j/p if you use them. I waited a long time for a BIG name case and my 29" cue with a radial pin won't allow the case to close with my custom j/ps in place. The casemaker didn't allow for the long pin and the j/p...Tom
