Dean......you are truly legendary in the world of pocket billiards and have supported the growth and interest in the game,
cue-makers and pool cues. As far as the latter goes, you sit atop my totem pole ranking because of your contributions.
Here's the first two cues that Bob and Jerry made for me and some pics of the matching joint protector set from Bob.
The protectors were requested as simply a nice protector set for my cue. As always, Bob exceeded my expectations.
When the book of pool folklore gets written, Dean deserves an entire chapter dedicated to all he has attempted & achieved.
The hands holding the cue in the below photo are the pair that produces such great pool cues......none other than Mr. Bob Owen.
The protector set surprised me quite a bit since Bob use matching rings and there's lots of ivory & Pau Lau abalone in each ring.
I knew how arduous it was to make these rings that adorn my cue and so I figured Bob would use a different design.......Nope!
Thanks to Deanoc, the Forum has been a much better place but I might as well add, my wallet is just a wee bit thinner too.
Nonetheless. zero regrets on my behalf and frankly, I'd still be buying more pool cues if it was feasible. I still want a cue from Joel.
