It’s not just in the south...many places I played at didn’t have bridges in the 70s.
Played a guy one pocket on a 4x8 Schmidt in Mt Vernon IL...
...he weighed about 270...every time he got on the table...
...I had to relearn the rolls...

What I see here is a lot of people who play pool for the sheer love of the game. Yes, they all gamble, but in the end it's all about playing this great game and trying to do it a little better than the other guy. :smile:

Terry, If I could make it I would love to go to that event. It's far more interesting to me then watching guys run racks of 9-Ball these days. Unfortunately, this year we are off to the Philippines for a reunion with my wife's family, after almost two years. It took a long, long time to get her Green Card.

Buffalo made deal with Mark Gregory he's going to work on all the tables and get them in tip top shape for the event and in return Buffalo is paying his $2000 entry fee for the one pocket event and he got the final spot.
I know Mark is a great table mechanic and plays pretty sporty too i guess :shrug:
He might choose to use his spot to sponsor a top player, not sure about that though.
