My previous Prather 60" player

I'm quite sentimental about this cue due to it was my main player for 12 years and I had some great moments and winnings playing with it. This cue was built by Jeff Prather to the specifications I've asked. It has a short butt sleeve so the grip would be on the wrap for such a tall guy like me. It has a solid ebony forearm with 4 long ebony points with veneers and 4 short holly points. It came with two solid maple shafts but I've decided to built a new LD shaft to hit even better. The shaft was finished just a couple of weeks ago . It is solid very old and hard maple with 9" purple heart insert at the joint and 7" c.f. tube at the tip.
In addition 7" extension was also built last year for the full set up. Unfortunately the pictures are not that good.

Thanks. BTW I've used tomahawk for ferrule building the shaft and my first experience with it was very positive. I like it a lot

Thank you. It is in proper hands now. Enjoy your build.

Nice work! I really like the shafts construction

Have you had the chance to try it out yet to see how well it plays?

Thanks for the complement. I started to work on the shaft at the time the cue with original shafts was already in USA together with my friend who went to work there and helps me with the sale. So I wasn't be able to try it on my butt but made some shots on the other butt with a matched pin. It has definitely less deflection and plays the way I like it though the hit is so subjective and I had only 5 or 10 minutes of play on a standart length butt when I already used to play with my current 62" cue. My current player has a shaft made out of the same board of hard maple, similar tricks for additional stiffness and less deflection but ferruleless, 1" longer and unilock female insert.
I hope when the cue finds a new home the owner will enjoy to play with it having more options to choose from:smile:.
