On the bright side we are still all alone in 1st place in 8 ball and last nights nine ball match put us a solid 4 out in the lead on that side of things."


ROTFLMAO! If I ever lost to a 3, I'd burn my cues, sell the table and QUIT POOL. Good players make their OWN luck by knowing how to make balls, OUT THINK a 3 and work the table.

Sorry to make your head explode but there's two more shots that qualify as half ball using an overlap method.

Aiming half arc to half arc gives a cut of 45*

Aiming half height to half height gives a cut of 60*. (cosine .500)

Of course those are edge to edge shots. Good luck practicing them.

Great point. If you can't see edge to edge and edges don't exist you can't practice them or attempt the shot playing against someone.

But he can practice all types of different safeties with a fatter hit, I guess. Don't cha just hate giving up the table when you shouldn't have to?

Notice how quickly they came rushing into this thread (which I started about CTE) when I dropped a game prop on one of their "Mosconi Heroes" Figueroa. But notice also that their newest hero BC-21 made a post about the use of the old 'jacked up draw' for position play (it was pretty good too...I watched it myself) and not a SINGLE COMMENT from our faction in his thread. Not one.
I do confess to having raided their threads in the past, primarily as a 'return slap across the face' (figuratively speaking, of course) for what they did to us or Stan.
But a severe lesson from Wilson broke me of that routine. I leave their threads alone now.

He is absolutely right about this, "technically speaking". They are spheres.
The only time they have "edges" is when they appear in a VISUAL CONTEXT and the mind says....."that's the edge of the ball". The eyes lead and the body follows...one of the first lessons we learn when using CTE aiming.

it was a tap 3 smartypants. Which everyone, regardless of actual speed starts out as a 3, second week he went to a 5 then a few weeks later a 6...but have your fun parsing statements.
