There is a bar and grille in the Washington Square Mall and it has several Diamond tables, including a 9-footer. Cloth not in the best condition, however. I think they have leagues Sunday through Thursday and then open play on Friday and Saturdays. At least that's what I was told.

Are you in Jasper?

I been over their never found anything, my wife works at the French Lick Casino which is just not far from their.
But I know theirs a little pool hall in Bedford Indiana which isn't far.
Also if you are down that way contact Richard Mitten he has a billiards supply place in Paoli Indiana he does all the work on people tables around that area, he's a great guy and can steer you around for action or just where all the pool rooms are.

Also Washington Square sucks. Or at least it did last I was down that way.
The pool room in Bedford is owned by Mike Dugger last I was their they play alot of golf in the morning.

I got a friend down their he likes 1 pocket action cheap he said he's been their twice with no luck. Think mainly league players.
The pool room in Bedford is a real pool hall think you'll like it and it be close for you.
Hope this helps, also if you do get down this way let me know I probably meet you somewhere and play a little.
I don't play near as much as I use to but I'm still decent B player LOL

In Evansville, I don't know on-cue as a pool hall but a pool business that supports the BCA League, does cue repairs and promotes tourneys. If there are pics of on-cue online, it is likely Bob's Lounge. They stream tourney's at O'Brians and Bobs. IMO, O'Brians is the most reputable. League most weekday nights, bands on the weekend.

What action goes on over at the Washington Square Mall, in that Bar & Grille? I was told leagues Sunday thru Thursday with open play on Friday and Saturday. I've been down there twice, usually in the early afternoons hoping to find a game, but there wasn't anybody around.

KC's Time Out Lounge at the mall. Not much there but leagues. My experience says O'Brians is the most likely place for action. I think they have 9 tables. 2 9-foot Diamonds, 6 Diamond bar tables and a Valley bar box. Free pool with lunch. Always a few old timers there for lunch, some up for action. Action can always be arranged. Just let someone know you're looking.

Doesn't sound like the area is that bad. A Evansville In. team won the apa 8ball open. That's a little promising lol

People can say all they want about being bad. Pool in general is dying itself but in the area your going you will find great people who enjoy the game.. if these guys cant push you like you want go check Owensboro Kentucky im sure they can fix that.

Yep it's official, I'm transferring to jasper as soon as we transition the work and equipment out of our Illinois facility. Jan 1st is our target date. So I probably won't pick up a cue for a while as I suspect some workers will walk out creating longer work nights for me until the transition is complete. Looking forward to new locations and new people!

Curios......you tube videos from Indiana people are smoking in the pool rooms/bars! Is this legal there? If so I need to learn to play with burning eyes again lol

I am originally from North of Evansville, I have never even heard of any pool players from Jasper but there's 40,000 people there and it's known as a wealthy area for the region. They are a powerhouse in baseball and tennis. I think there's a league in Huntingburg maybe VNEA? I think Don Gladish played in there, he's a strong player but I haven't seen him or heard anything about him in over a decade.

Evansville is known for one pocket and banks or at least it used to be, Owensboro isn't that far either. For Evansville Obrians, Bob's Lounge or The Corner Pocket? If you like snooker Princeton has a 10 footer in a cafe but it closes at 2pm mon - fri and 10am on Sats. Princeton still has several strong 60 - 70 year old players but you gotta catch them at the right time. I'm not sure about Evansville but Gibson County still has smoking in bars and I've never even been to a bar in Dubois county because I didn't know anyone played there.

Just wondering if there is any update here?

MVP,
Did you make the move?

And is there indeed a league in Huntingburg?
