SVB tries a 2-9 combo and also getting the cue ball safe. He misses both.

Europe should be out but the greek - I wont attempt to spell his name - come up short on the 5. Daz misses and Schmidt misses back the bank on the 5. The table is playing so easy, the players think they can make everything.

3-2 Europe. USA is giving this one away.

Shane breaks wet but leaves John a tough shot. John ducks, but leaves no real problem for Europe and safety play continues. safety battle won by Europe, but Nick goes wrong on a four ball leaving Darren very tough. Darren misses, but Schmidt misses a bank and Europe back in business.

Pretty poorly played rack both ways, but Europe gets it for a 3-2 lead in the match.

Not too late for SVB/Schmidt but they're not playing well.

Nikos to break rack six and he breaks them well. the one is not sitting well, however, and Nikos may not play it. Sweet shot by Nikos and Europe has a run out chance ... converted for a 4-2 lead. Europe on the hill.

The comeback must begin now. Schmidt to break and it's a dry one. Europe can't see the one, however, and must push out.

Shane plays a good safe and nikos misses the kick. Schmidt plays a safety with ball in hand but only passably. Shane makes the three in the side and they have a good luck at a runout. Nice out for Team USA evaporates when Schmidt has a bad miss.

Europe mop up the mess.

Europe 5 USA 2

Europe 5 USA 3 in the Mosconi.

Poor effort by Team USA, handed the first two racks and didn't get another.

..... But the Mosconi Cup is still close and we definitely need another point before this day is over.

Justin is all business. He isn't high fiving any of the drunks as he enters the arena.

Ok Watchez, what odds are you giving on Bergman/Feijen ? Personally I think Bergman is gonna surprise some folks.

Shane and John have put a lot of pressure on Bergman, who must now match up successfully with the reigning World 9-ball champion is the US is to avoid a 6-3 deficit.

Tall order for sure, but Justin has a shot here.

Neils wins the lag. Makes 3 balls on the break. Has hard cut of the 3 in the side, makes it but freezes to the next ball, the 5. Has to play safe and leaves Bergman a tester for his first shot. He makes it and 7 seconds later the rack is over.

Niels opens the match against Bergman by making four balls on the break but has no shot save a paper thin cut on the three. Makes it but no reward and has almost no safety.Leaves a shot and Bergman gets it done.

Bergman 1 Feijen 0

Good start!

Bergman makes two balls on the break. Tries a carom off the 2 and into the 3, sitting by the pocket. Misses the carom and leaves Neils a length of the table easy 2-9 combo.
