No I just booked mine for for Jan 27, 28, 29, 30, 31. I gamble alot at Harrahs in Cherokee, NC so I have donated my fair share and every year of the DCC when it was Ceasars I would drive over and donate some then too.CocoboloCowboy said:

Just booked for the whole thing...It went real smooth and they did ask for the code#SO1HDCC.
My God these reservation people are so stupid its amazing. so far they have transfered to Texas, then Alantic city, now Texas, then Indania, they dont hve the record locater for the event, my God these people are stupid, it would be easier for me to buy a house there for the week and sell it afterwards. so far i'm into this 30 minutes, they are 100% helpless, my friends who work at Harris propertys here in Vegas have told me how fvcked up they are at all levels, now i'm on hold with group sales thats closed, now they transferred me to Sandy who ever the hell that is???? and I got a voice mail., Its amazing these people find thier way to work everyday, God Bless the other joint ansd the shitty food. This I feel is gonna be a disaster, I talk on the phone for a living, I never heard so many confused people in my life-just to book a room. I said forget the group rate give me the Presedential Suite I dont care what it costs, I just wanted to throw $$$ at them an they couldnt do that.

I just got a reservation for the 24th through the 1st without a problem. Unlike some other hotels I've called, the reservationist knew about the tournament dates and such.Greg/Diamond said:
The Harrah's web site shows that the weekends are sold out, and that the "normal person" rate for the weekdays is $200 during that week.
I was also pleasantly surprised that Southwest has a direct flight from San Jose to Louisville. It's got two stops, but my luggage should has less chance to wander off.

I just called and booked a room for the 28th-30th. The only thing that caught me off guard is that there is an additional charge of $10.00 per person in the room. So for me and my buddy, the rates are $115.00, and $135.00. I did give them the "event code" listed above. Did anyone else encounter this additional $10.00 charge? I haven't seen anyone mention it anywhere when discussing reservations, so I thought I'd throw it out there.
I just called and made reservations for Jan 27 thru Feb 1. They didn't say anything to me about the extra 10 dollar charge.
I will not be going to DCC this year.
They only allow service pets and my dogs boarding bills usually run about $150 a day because of his size. No way can I afford the higher hotel bill AND a boarding bill. Executive West only charged $100 for the whole week to bring a pet. I will miss that.

How are everyone planning on getting from louisville airport to the casino? I asked about a shuttle and they said it was about a 40 minute trip from the airport and there was no shuttle. I will look at rental cars tomorow but thought I would ask if anyone knows of other ways to get there. Chris.
