Here are the top 30 ranked by FargoRating. That's mostly a 9-ball rating, so it's a little iffy. For example, I think John Schmidt is quite a bit higher than 30th. I had to invent a rating for Lo Li Wen based on his performance at Steinway last year.

815 Jayson Shaw Scotland
813 Dennis Orcollo Philippines
809 Carlo Biado Philippines
808 Niels Feijen Denmark
805 Alex Pagulayan Canada
799 Fran Sanchez Ruiz Spain
796 Lee Van Corteza Philippines
792 Darren Appleton England
791 Yu-Lung Chang Taiwan
791 Kai-Lun Hsu Taiwan
791 Albin Ouschan Austria
788 Mika Immonen Finland
788 Warren Kiamco Philippines
786 Ralf Souquet Germany
783 David Alcaide Spain
780 Li-Wen Lo Japan
780 Mario He Austria
780 Rodney Morris USA
779 Thorsten Hohmann Germany
778 Niko Oikonomopoulos Greece
775 Corey Deuel, USA
774 Johnny Archer USA
773 Chris Melling England
770 Denis Grabe Estonia
769 Petri Makkonen Finland
760 Billy Thorpe USA
757 Daryl Peach England
747 Shawn Wilkie USA
744 Zion Zvi Israel

This looks great! I assume most of these players will be heading down to Chesapeake right afterwards to play in the US Open? Should be two awesome weeks of pool regardless; can't wait!

I follow the stream link from this topic but all it takes me to is their archives. How do I access the live feed of the tournament right now?

geez, this Shuff/Deuel match is a tough one to watch. some really weird mistakes that they normally don't do.

also, who is andy Lincoln? He was playing the big fella from Spain and I did not see his name in the players list. was he a last minute entry due to someone dropping out?

Andy Lincoln is AzB member alinco. He has played in this event before, but mainly he is one of the people who helps make it run smoothly. He has also done some commentary for the event in the past.

The original list of 48 players on the americanstraightpool website contains 6 players who are not in the event:

R. Babica
C. Biado
M. Dudanets
B. Madenjian
N. Oikonomopoulos
B. Thorpe

Those 6 positions were filled with the following players:

A. Borukhovich
D. Frank
A. Lincoln
S. Matthieu
F. Tyers
T. Walter

Obviously, the replacement group is much weaker than the original 6. I don't know whether they had a waiting list for this event and drew from that. Tom Walter is a real good player. But It looks like they possibly also recruited some last-minute "volunteers."

Match of the day...

Alcaide v Van Corteza, a real pleasure to watch, the others (today), not so much.
