General Sherman must have been a pool player. He destroyed most of Atlanta when he marched through Atlanta two years earlier. Look at the building next to the pool hall.

I heard that when the picture was originally taken, two players simultaneously took up a game of one pocket, which is soon to come to a conclusion.

That must be the place where you bought your first Lucasi cue.
There were no electronic stores back then and you had to get one somewhere
