Well, Timmy.. now calls himself "8".. .because the number 8 looks like two uppercase "B"s back to back... but the straight line, well that's removed.. the backbone, the center that makes it all make sense.. that line was removed that night and 2 Bs turned into one "8", turn that 8 sideways.. waht do you have? INFINITY. Meaning, no boundaries, no borders... no morality, no consequence... just everything and nothing. The folks around town call him Crazy 8 Face and know to stay away from Crazy 8 Face, because if you cross him on the wrong side... well Crazy 8 Face goes crazy. But Crazy 8 Face, he did learn how to manipulate people and coerce them into certain modes of thought and over the next few years he found his way into working for the football league which Team B played in and the business had grown.. but that "make it take it" rule where the team that scores keeps the ball.. well changing that rule to an "alternate break"-like scenario for football, a controversial proposed rule change where there were clear sides to the argument, two groups of people who just could not agree on which way the rule should work.. they were absolutely DIVIDED with no hope of resolution.. just like those two Bs stuck together. Well, little Timmy... sorry, "8"... he knew exactly how to handle that straight line separating the frontwards side and the backwards side to make it something entirely new.
Well those Team A fans, those type of elitist bastards... they wanted the rule to stay as it was.. why change?!?? "This league and the City of A was built on winners winning... and if our team scores... why should we give up the damn ball.. they earned it! Team B, they gotta come take it away from us.. we will never back down... Come and Take it!" they would say, with a smug look on their perfectly groomed and non-disfigured faces.. the same face they make when they smell their own farts. Well, 8 had managed to make his way into the social circles of influential Team A fans who also happened to be part of the swamp of corruption that ran this particular league. Putting on his best face (GET IT!?!?!), he explained to the Team A cronies: "look, fellas.. this is all about MONEY. You want more butts in seats, you want more eyeballs on the TV screens, watching advertisements for local commercials for Shawn Smeagel Honda? You gotta make the games a little closer... you gotta give Team B at least a chance of wnning a game or keepign it close. Look, we all KNOW Team A is better than Team B, so just let them get a little taste of waht it's like to score... end of the day we all know who holds the cards and that Team B can't beat us under any formation of this rule... you want ot make Team B feel like they won a big deal on this rule change. Just tell them you think the change would be more fair and give players and fans alike of other teams to feel included, like they have an opportunity at this game... something they can work with and make something out of. But we all know... well Team B fans, they can't take it and make it on their own... we have to give it to them. It's just a handout, a small handout but it sure would go a long way to making us some more damn money, especially some of that internet money.. that internet thing is turning into something big, right guy... let's not forget about it.". They eventually agreed to the rule change... Crazy 8 Face had finally done it! He had leveled the playing field.. he had made the game fair.... but those damn Team B greedy good for nothings, can't do a damn thing on their own without a handout, couldn't score a point before Team A big wigs threw them a little bone under the name of fairness but really as a tool ot make more money... fast forward 15 years and that internet thing really took off.. and now you have social media. All the Team Bs of the world could get online and talk about their situations and discuss similarities, differences... help console people, find people to help console you... help understand how similar circumstances may yield different results, especially when their situations that they may have never known were an issue before.. well those people were being treated unfairly, being put in bad positions to not get the most out of their lives ...with rules and decisions being made by the powerful to unwittingly change the trajectory of entire swaths of people in their communities. And social media opened people's eyes to the world around them, at least those who wanted to look and were willing to accept the truth and facts of what they see and interpret... but the old school way, the Team A folks who knew nothing but winning before because they held all the cards... they just couldn't accept that the world around them was changing... that the Team Bs were feeling empowered, like they could take the power back (YOU GOTTA TAKE THE POWER BACK, RATM FOR LIFE!) and as they were becoming aware of other injustices imposed upon them or others, they demanded these rights be wronged as well... and then the true scope of the issues at hand became clear and it was an overwhelming situation for both sides.. so much change for Team A fans, something they never expected to happen.. MFGA they would say.. "MAKE FOOTBALL GREAT AGAIN! But great for who?!?... it's all a conspiracy an insane agenda by an insane man who was just bitter that his team didn't win.. he's a loser, he was wrong. It's a bunch of cry babies saying things aren't fair... we got news for ya snowfl8kes... life isnt' fair.. get over it! Go back to your City of B and ***** about it there we don't want you here.. your kind aint welcome round these parts now yaheeer?!? They would argue that the "you make it you take it" rule was great, it never needed to be changed and that the game should go back to the old ways from years ago.. but guess what? Team B had now had years of tasting the fairness and equality in the game, out comes were become better for more participants. More people were watching the games... more people were interested in what was happening, especially since they could share it freely over the internet and help generate some of that internet money (right, guy?). "It's a socialst policy, what's next, we just give htem points every time we score? ... what's next, everyone is going to be a winner now? Everyone gets a damn trophy!?!? its a socialist democratic communist liberal snowflake agenda... its all these damn liberals pissing and moaning about equality and fairness... well waht about our way of life? What about our culture and history of winning... they took that away from us! We built our lives around the idea that we get to keep the ball as long as we keep scoring. What about us, we were born as winners... god put us here to be the winners and it is our god given RIGHT, don't tread on our field with these liberal agendas attacking our culture of winning! The game was over, no one could agree on how to implement a basic rule, madness ensued any time any issue came up... coaches challenges would result in riots, it would take referees hours to review every challenge and they very well could lose their life on a blown call because both sides were so charged up about every little detail, that they could not focus on what was important... playing the game, having a winner, being respectful and good sports, accepting the outcome of a game and then being willing to go back... get better and do it all over again with a smile on their faces. But that was impossible because the simpletons on both sides didn't understand what the point of the game was.. they made the game unimportant because they couldn't stop fighting because they simply HAD to win and nothing was going to change their minds. Suddenly everything in life became about that rule and about how the other side was dishonest, scum and anything coming from City A to City B people was power hungry fear mongers trying to put the genie back in the bottle and muzzle the Crazy 8 Faces of the world... any any thing that was unfair or an attempt to do the right thing by leveling the playing field, to give more people an opportunity to play in or enjoy the game... well that must be a socialist evil liberal atheistic democratic conspiracy meant to take over the game and steal the game City A loved, where they always won, not by force.. but by a slow bleeding of handouts, giveaways and rule changes that they didn't like.. so they used that to blame City B and Crazy 8 Face for all the perceived bad things in their life.. and they were surrounded by City A people, they didn't want to hear City B people, they wanted to hear waht they believed and that was it.
