Pedro lost to Lindao 30-24, beat Tellez 30-23 and may not make it out of the group. He must wait for outcome of Lindao vs. Tellez.

Mike Kang won first 30-25 and plays second today.

Hugo Patino won first and plays second today against Teran.

Ok, I am totally confused. Before the start of the last round Kozoom wrote "At the Pan American championship the main tournament has been launched today (Thursday) with sixteen groups of three players vying for sixteen places in the knockout rounds". Now Kozoom is saying that the knockout round will consist of 32 players. Does anyone know what the format really is?

Mark, I share your confusion as the news reports indicated 16 groups of 3 with 16 advancing but 32 actually advanced. Kang and Patino lost in round of 32. Pedro won in round of 32, won again in round of 16 and now is in the round of 8 (the quarterfinals). The current article posted by Kozoom says there are 6 Colombians in the round of 8, but there are only 5 with Pedro, Teran from Ecuador and Ramon R. from Peru. Pedro had great game in round of 16, beating L. Aviega from Ecuador with a 2.222 average and a high run of 11. Quarterfinals, semifinals and finals today.
