Looks like a Scruggs but has many features of an early 70's Joss as well. I've also seen a Gus with that style buttsleeve. So many makers used this style. So what is it?

Joss Model #5E, Diamond Series catalog is similar.

But the joint rings are wrong...and so are the veneers I think.
But those joint rings do look Joss, just earlier than Diamond Series.

Seems to be in the family though.

Maybe mid to late 70's Joss or Early Scruggs? Something like that.

Pre-diamond series Joss, given those joint collars. My guess would be mid 70s. Doesn't look like ringwork for Richard Black.

All the best,
WW

It is a 1973 Joss that my friend has for sale. Not sure of the value on it but nice cue and excellent shape for over 40 years old.

Interesting how we see the butt sleeve design repeated in the later Diamond series.

The condition does indeed look very nice.

I love seeing the old Joss cues.

Thanks for showing off! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
