I got some ideas in mind and wondering who and how much...

There was a guy about 2-3 months ago who was asking about the topic because his Dad is an artist who does this kind of work. He posted pictures, and they were pretty good too.

Here is the thread that I was talking about.

Hi--I am a scrimshaw artist specializing cue artwork. I mainly work with Andy Gilbert, and have also worked with Jerry Olivier and Mike Durbin, among others. Here is a link to my Facebook page where you can see some of my work.

You do not have to be a Facebook member to view it.
My rates are $25 per hour, so it all depends on how complex of a design you have in mind.

go to the cue gallery and look up Alton, I think his screen nake is Cue Caps.

he lives in Hawaii and had a picture of Gus scrimed on the top of a cue cap a hair bigger than a dime and it looks like a 3D picturre of Gus, all real hand done Scrim, not some machine. Ask him he is the nicest guy on AZ(Terry ardeno is tied with him) he will be glad to help, let me post this and I will edit it with his contact info-please tell him Fatboy sent you. Were good friends. And no I dont take offence to the name im 6'1" and 240 with some muscles left.

Look atthe second post down you will see the best pic of that cap, its centered, it has nice edges, isnt coarse. I have over 50 ivory statues that are scrimshawed and some are stained diferent colors, some arent stained at all, some have great detail like this others are just a different style, I love ivory and all different schrim work, dont for get 2nd post.:

I don't think you need to look any further than this!
