I have all hardness of Thoroughbred Layered Tips available. They come in S, MS and M in 10 layer light brown and MS, M, MH and H in 8 layer dark brown. These are some of the best playing tips currently on the market and hard to beat for $10 each. Volume discounts are available. I use these tips (MS's) on my MVP/KDP cue. Seems to be a very nice tip. If Blue Grass is using them, that would suggest to me that they are a net positive to his cue.

Correct. Richard and I tested a lot of tips until we got some that played well and compliment his cues. Why build a $2000 cue only to install a bad playing tip?
