Congratulations to my friend and homeboy, Phil Davis (pooljunky220), who took down the SBE Amateur Open, a HUGE accomplishment for sure.

I have a funny story on how he and I met approx 13 years ago; no time to tell it now, maybe tomorrow.

Phil is a terrific player. Been a lot of deserving champions the last few years. Guys with great game and attitudes. Congrats.

Watched him shoot early on to get into the money and the way he was playing, I didn't think there was anyone in the field that was going to beat him. He shot rock solid from start to finish.
