All except this one guy. He had a 45 engine and tranny out of one of those three wheelers he had made a chopper out of. He would fire it up, put it in rewind and raise his feet! Best I remember those things only had three forward gears but it was a headturner to see a chopper with a reverse gear even before the Honda leadwings had the starter motor reverses on them.

My first Harley had an 18 inch over springer.

I still love long bikes. I started building them out of bicycles when I was about 12.

You think it's funny or odd to back a bike in? Most people I know do. And with darn good reason.

I didn't think it was funny at all to back a bike in. I routinely backed mine in with stock forks. What I thought was funny as hell was when two or three very long choppers had jammed into one parking spot nose first then the guys came out drunk on their asses hours later and tried to untangle them when none of the bikes would turn in a forty acre field!

I spent some time with a gal that ran a biker bar. When we closed up, I sometimes sat around in the parking lot just to watch the drunks that had pulled in sober try to get out again. The smart guys had backed in to begin with or it might have taken a half-hour to untangle bikes and get on the road.

Don't under estimate Pogo Stick , this is where it all began.

#1 High performance Steel Spring Pogo (my uncle was an Engineer and Iron Worker).

#2 The internet JPEG is as close as I could get to the originals.
My cousin grew out of his skates so... an Inheritance.

#3 Honda 650cc Nighthawk Motorcycle.
First Serious Motorcycle, I studied and shopped many bikes before bringing this one home.
JPEG example only, mine was Dark Emerald Green, 3 months in I threw away the seat and added highway pegs.

I don't know if they will do 55mph. I know they won't do 70.

I don't about the various years and versions. I am sure there are web sites.
If I were to grab something up like that it would be more as a city use/neighborhood toy.

I CAN'T BELEIVE THESE JPEGs STILL EXIST.

The file has been super buried for a very long time, it's been years since I've seen them.
