Brunswick Superspeed Cushions

I guess it depends on who did the work. Were the subrails modified to fit the artemis? They do not fit with out modification. If they did not change the subrails, worst case scenario you put the Superspeed on there and be happy that you have the factory cushions on your table with extended subs.
Good Luck!

Trent

Jerimy Chambers did the work and has a good reputation in Chicago. The original plan was to find a IV and have Mark extend the rails with superspeeds with 4.5" pockets. I happened to locate a super clean IV with subrails extended with Artemis and 4 3/8" pockets.

And guess what....so does Superspeed. No pool table plays perfect from the time the cloth is installed new, until its replaced. I. That time frame I'd guess that maybe about 20% of the time it plays perfect. Stop trying to act like you know something!!!
From what I've seen from your work and knowing you played pretty sporty I see zero reason to doubt you , I will add as I've said it's rare to go from one table to the next and expect the same results so it's kinda a ridiculous conversation,, I will say watching a banking seminar I won't name by whom ,, the first thing they do is hit a series of banks starting with a 3 railer to see how the table is playing , then you adjust seems pretty logical to me as many factors are in play all the time

I'm in the process of restoring a Gold Crown 1. This past Friday I dropped off my rails to Jack Zimmerman so he can recalibrate them and tighten the pockets. Jack suggested I go with the superspeeds so that's what I am going with.

Gonna be great!

I was just there the day after picking up some Anniversary rails he rebuilt! Jack does great work. I think this is the 4th set of rails he has rebuilt for me. Post up the pictures of the table when its done! Good luck

Didnt you say you were gonna stop posting here???!!

Jack does great work. If I were not gonna use him I would most likely have Jerimy Chambers build a custom set for me.

I have talked to pretty much every other rail guy in the country, Josh Ebert, Zach Jonas and also Jay Spielberg and ALL of them were more than willing to work with me. YOU are the only one who runs their mouth about me and everyone else.

I don't care how good you think you are, you are ridiculous and I dont care how good you are. You obviously have the mental capacity of an 11 year old lil boy. No one here wants to hear you bad mouth other people.

It comes down to this: You think anyone who makes a decent living is ripping people off. The reality of it is you are terrible at business and the way you post about me and anyone else shows it.

My clients are always happy, I love what I do and I dont give a F U C K what you have to say.

Have fun being broke and with such high standards :)

Look who's acting out.......no one wants your work......and I'm not putting anyone down but you. You talk like you a big time table mechanic and you know nothing about tables.
Just a table con man......I only post when I see you acting like you know what your talking about little ***** boy.....lol
Show the work you do on tables you know so much about them.......your just a smart ass puck with a big ego.
You just talk and run that mouth......and of course know everything.
I enjoy being broke......bahahahahaha I've got more work than I can handle.....and can find help cause unlike you.......I either have the best work done on my tables or I don't let someone help.
Boy you get so up set that I post.....maybe you should go away then you can have price. Lol
I helped make talk to a mechanic useful.....and gave a lot of info on this site....:tell me what do you add to this site......what part of this site have you contributed to.......other than trying to make a table sale.
But I'm going to listen to you and not post here. Where's your help to this site????????
No ones going to miss you for sure......how could anyone miss that mouthy ***** boy.

And here I just wanted to know the quality and the speed of the new Brunswick Superspeed cushions.
Twenty years ago when five or six new rooms opened in this area with GC3s, there was a major quality issue with the rubber. The cushions started going hard within a couple of years. Not all of them and not all at once. My main room ended up replacing about 60 cushion sections on their 24 pool tables.

Brunswick refused to help in any way. They evidently do not warranty commercial equipment. There are still rooms in this area that do not want Brunswick rubber on their tables.

Ask the installer if he will give a 5-year warranty for the rubber going bad.

What I've gathered from this thread is that Artemis were prefered at one time because of the superspeeds questionable quality. It is now believed that the superspeeds are a quality product at this time. While I'd prefer superspeeds it seems as if the Artemis are a fine substitute when properly installed.

Also a local room just had their rails completely refurbished and did not install superspeeds. My feeling is for the exact reason you mentioned.

I love these table......................

discussions. Learn something everytime. Got a question for RKC: Glen, have you ever considered a book/video on table construction/repair/re-covering? I think you'd sell all you could make.

I've suggested to him that he needs to start compiling his knowledge so that he can one day do a Book/Video after he retires.

Once compiled the info can be sorted out, edited, condensed and be ready for writing a book/manual or a shooting script.

I would hate to have all his detailed fixes to be lost to time.

Glen could wait until after he retires to release the information so that the Hacks can not use it until then.
