he has always been a man of his word

I hate to see him slandered


He might have misplaced a guys 24 year old case that needed repair,
but he sent him a better case

He might not remember what the old case looked like

Mike is fighting for his life,had a toe amputated and his memory
is not as good as it used to be

If this forum were a court I would testify as to his character
I have known him over 25 years

and except for the time he won my dough playing pool
I have found him to be a stand up guy

A 24 year old case can not be worth much,why would mike want to scam a guy over it?

I agree everybody makes mistakes and he has Alot more going on in his life to be slandered for a old case. Mike has always been stand up guy and I wish him the best with his health. I'd be character witness number 2 dean haha.

In fact, I have been more than understanding of his health issues (and his age)

I have never gotten mad at Mike Roberts, but that said, he has my property and it needs to be returned. Its a business.

If everyone on here knows him, can someone contact him since he won't take calls or texts anymore?

We spoke on the phone a few weeks ago as he held my case in his hands, discussing the rivet.

I have sent him pictures of it, again... so he can find it.

It has an inscription on the bottom, that i sent to him so he can find it...

It's the principle of the matter. The case has a ton of sentimental value if i had to guess. So is the new case really worth as much? No
He may be a jam up guy, but if his health is to the point, he can no longer run a business correctly, change may be in order.

Wrong case was sent.
It was Not as a Replacement.

"Scam" is a strong word bordering on being "Slanderous".

Your 24 year old Runde Cue can not be worth much either.

I still have it, waiting to hear from Mike... I already told him I am going to be sending it back to him.

I don't want it, even it was a brand new $5000 case..

I just want mine.

While I understand your wanting to support a friend, Wybrook was just frustrated and went looking for some help. When customers get bad service, you can't expect them not to complain.

Isn't there somebody who knows Mike who can assist? At least they can get down to the bottom of if/why the case is missing.

I may be mistaken but he has been trying to sell his business and made a thread here on AZ to due so. I also believe he had mentioned his bad health problems as being the reason. Iam not saying guy shouldn't be mad at the situation but some understanding should be involved also. In the many years he has done business this 1st bad word I've heard about mike. I think most of us have lost something at our work place over the years and Mike is no different. Again I agree the guy should be mad it probably has sentimental value but take into account that he did try to make it right and if the case did get lost its really all he can do to make it right

Mike did sell his business

i tried to contact him about my cases and had no luck
but the cases came in the mail


sure they were a little late
but they came without any pressure
i suspect he is very ill

if the case is lost,its lost
if he tried to find it,or is trying
then what more can you ask of the fella

Losing a 24 year old case, that is something you've had that long, shouldn't happen when you send it for a repair. If it lost, then it is on Mike to say he lost it, and work out a offer to replace it. Not just send a different case.

No matter if he sold the business after he took in the repair work, it still needs to be resolved. How do you put a value on something with sentimental value?

What if it was a cue Dean, say a original George B or a Gus? Would that make it different to you? Still just a old cue after all.

there is a big difference in an old thing of high value and something worth
next to nothing

if a $10,000 item were kept,I might suspect
chicanery, theft,larceny

But hen an item worth next to nothing is lost and a man tries to make it right
makes an attempt to satisfy me by sending me a more valuable item

then i figure it was an honest mistake

i may be sad,he might have been careless,but I have no basis for ill feelings


Its like when my daughter dropped my glass statue that my mother gave me
it had sentimental value,but its gone and there is no reason for me to complain

This case is simple,a case was sent to mike
niike either lost the case for good or it might be found

mike sent another case
he either thought it was the right case or he tried to make it right

now the owner is unhappy and Mike is not returning his calls

either mike is too sick to returm the calls or just doesn't feel like returning anymore calls
he is looking for the right case and doing all he can to find it but he is not in communication

possibly he is tired of hearing the guy go over and over the same old thing when he is doing his best


Character witnesses come forth to say Mike has been a stand up guy for years

No one knows whether or not all the facts of the case owner are correct or not

I am not saying he is wrong in describing the fact that his case is still missing

All I am saying id mike is one of the good guys


Therefore if you lost your case through Mikes error,it was an honest error

Relax awhile,he has already attempted to make it right

If he is trying to locate it and make it right he will either find it or he lost it
he didn't steal it


so lets give Mike a break

If your case is lost,a law suit won't find it

not only that I make the odds at 1000 to one you never really thought a law suit was a good idea

you need to face the fact that you might have lost your case

Even if mike lost it

What can we do to make it right?
Lets just say for arguments sake,that your case is gone forever,
now you feel loss
Mike sent you another case

what can i do to make you happy and forget about it?

Is there such a thing as forgiveness with you?

Is reconciliation even an option?

Lets please remember that adam did not call for the mans head.
He asked if anyone could possibly help in arranging his property's return, acknowledged Mike's situation and explained his own.
I think maybe some are seein this as another 'burn the non-fulfilling cuemaker' thread. I dont see it that way.
