The best and most important things I ever learned in life were from individuals in the extremes of their lives. Absolutely, sometimes there is nothing at all there to be learned, but at a minimum- if you are interested- you have to pay attention. One example is of individuals on the opposite ends of the extreme misery and extreme success continuum. My experience/observation is that everyone else in the middle of this continuum have generally the same information and seem to spew the same type of dialogue. It's like watching tv.
I would venture that only a few of us AZB'er- for whatever reason- have sold everything they have owned, had nothing and hitchhiked the highways for months on end. I mean, who in their right would do that? Some people do/will and they know things we don't about life just as those of us who are not that extreme know things they do not. Bashing either group over the head with a verbal 2x4 is just worthless.
