This only my opinion but it is from experience with many cues from Gus, Barry, Searing, Hercek, Perry Weston, Gina, Southwest and a good half dozen more. Mikes cues may not be the best because all of the mentioned cues are TOP of the LINE no doubt but Mikes Cues fit me. There is just something about them that fits, I don’t know if it’s taper, shaft, balance etc but for me Mikes cues do it. Having said that I have to say my Dunkel is damn near a toss up the difference is the shaft not the hit because they both provide feed back but the taper is different. I know that is contradictory but it’s my opinion. In general I’d play you with either and if I lost it won’t be the cue!
