August 12 at Noon. $105 entry fee. First 16 players to sign up. Double elimination matches to 100. Top two players qualify to go to the World Tournament in New York October 2-8.

Dennis, this must be sold out by now, no ? I just started playing straight pool. I got a taste of it at the Illinois Billiard Club couple of years ago when a few members invited me to play. This was their game of choice.

Absolutely LOVED it. Of course, nobody really plays by me (that I know of) so I have not played since. But I started practicing it in the basement, and its just as much fun to practice. I think I'm hooked !!!!

So, with that being said, I'll donate to the "cause" if you don't get enough players, but I'd really hate to take a spot from someone that plays this game well :grin: I will be there regardless to watch/play/help out ??

I just took up the game as well and I'm hooked. Joining a straight pool league was the best thing I could do.Currently in the handicapped league and fully intend on getting into the non handicapped league.Truly in pursuit of 100 ball run but first need a 50. Gold Crown awaiting assembly in basement.

I'd like to enter as well but I'm just not ready. Certainly hope to in the future.
