This year's players include many of the tour regulars along with a couple new pro players, most notably Kazakis and Grabe. Should be a great event as always. The event is a top notch production, the best spectator venue in pool and free to watch.

The Salt City Billiards Open IV will be held Wednesday January 9th, the evening before the Turning Stone Classic, which is held January 10th - January 13th. Our prior 3 events were all very successful with a lot of spectators, local players as well as players from around the country who travel in for the Turning Stone Classic.

Confirmed pro players include:
Shane Van Boening
Shaun Wilkie
Billy Thorpe
Erik Horliefson
Johnny Morra
Alex Kazakis
Denis Grabe

Other pros who may attend include:
Johnny Archer
Dennis Hatch
Jeremy Sossei
Thorsten Hohman

There are also many shortstops from the US and Canada as well as top regional players who will be attending.

At 530pm we are hosting an action match between Shane Van Boening and Shaun Wilkie 10 ball race to 11 alternate breaks for at least $2,000. This match and the tournament will be available to watch with TVMike olivestream, details to follow.

The Salt City Billiards Open IV will be held at 730pm, signup at 7pm. We expect some very nice payouts for a quick 1 day event. The tournament will also be streamed by TVMike.

All night long we will have amateur 8 player bar box mini tournaments. $40 entry, pays $180 to 1st and $100 to second.

Great, great event! January is full of pool happenings. Our brethren of players from overseas and on the other side of the pond are wise to shoot in USA during January. We have also the Derby City Classic in January.

Of course, the Turning Stone venue is like no other. I love it there. I hope it doesn't snow. I can remember driving to and from Verona, NY when it was snowing sideways. I was lucky if I could follow red tail lights without going over a cliff. Brutal driving when it's bad weather, but once you get there, it's non-stop fun. The facilities are topnotch and really great for a pool competition. There's not a bad seat in the house, and best of all, it's free.

Great month for pool in good o'l USA!

Never bet against old man winter in January.

Lots of updates at Turning Stone. Restaurants are all just terrific. I'm down for some blackjack.
