Hey friends.. just pulled the trigger on my first pool table purchase. It was advertised as a GCIII, but I believe it to be a GCI or GCII.

What do the experts say?

Thanks very much!

Sweet! Looks to be in really good condition. I'm no expert but the corner ashtrays makes me say GCI
How much did you pay? It looks like you did not get new cloth.
Enjoy!!

I think its GC1
-Chrome ball box and silver feet.
-Based on brunswick documentation the ash trays were only available on GC1

Originally there was a decal on the stretcher that connects the 2 leg pedistals. It will say GC1 or GC2. (assuming it wasn't removed with the refinish)

Gold Crown I that has had the aprons, pedestals, stretcher and ball tray stripped and stained. As has been pointed out, II's had bronze colored feet and ball tray bezel.

Sweet looking table!

Wow, the wooden skirts and legs look better than I've ever seen. This table is in excellent condition considering it's age. Great find, you got one hell of a deal for $1k!

Its a GC 1 for sure. I almost bought that one off CL, you negotiated well, but, I ran across this GC3(formica is MINT, perfect restoration candidate!!!) in MD, was a score! $1300 with the chairs, a bunch of cool pool room decorations, Brunswick Centennials and old style Diamond light.

Nice work, if you need any help with your project shoot me a call!

I love those old Gold Crowns. You guys did great!

I normally like the GCI to stay with stock paint colors, but the OP’s GCI looks outstanding with the stained poplar blinds and pedestals.

I was leaning more towards it being a GCI, thanks!

Thanks, Trent. Good luck with your resto!

I'll be hiring Jack Zimmerman to install, he's close to me.

Thanks, Brian! I know a lotta people don't like the ashtray corners, I think they are super cool. Great reminders of yesteryear!

I think that the ashtray corners are as good as it gets in terms of giving a table character- those corners SCREAM 1960s! Anyone who experienced the pool renaissance from 61 to 66 will understand - that era put pool in your blood - ask any 65 to 85 year old who either still plays or remembers those times and everyone of them will attest to enjoying the game during that period in many ways.

I think the sticker on the stretcher will say AR6100, thats what is on mine and its a very lightly used GCI that was privately owned its entire life.
