A friend of mine sent me a picture last night of his meucci carbon shaft. It has matching ringwork to his cue. Not sure but the rings look like a casino model.

I am going to meet him at the pool hall tonight to check it out in person. If I like what I see I am going to order one with matching ringwork to my gambler.. But I dont see myself getting rid of my blak -4 with a revo lol

Jacoby CF

We just received (5) of the new Jacoby CF shafts and I do not see a seam.

We've sold a handful of the Cuetec Cynergy shafts and I did not notice a seam on them either (but I honestly didnt look for one).

We also have sold close to a hundred of the Predator REVO's and there is not a seam on them either.

* Just for a spec. comparison, the REVO shafts I've weighed are approximately 4.1oz-4.2oz, and the Jacoby Black shafts we just received are weighing 3.5oz-3.6oz.

To some the weight of the shaft does not matter, but there are a lot of players out there who it matters to, so there you go..

What joints do the Jacoby shafts come in? Do you have a pic you can upload?

Hi,

They are all Radials (just edited my initial post). The other joints will not be coming in until around the middle of March (I believe).

I will get a few quick pics taken and put on here in a bit...

If the shaft has a seam, that means it is carbon sheet wrapped. This, in and of itself is not a problem because there is invariably multiple layers of sheet, and they would bias the seams, not stack the seams.

The problem would be that the fibers are likely all going the same direction. CF gets strength from biasing the strand direction.

I just got back from the pool hall checking out my friends meucci carbon fiber shaft. No seam ....looks just like my revo. Just as smooth also. I forgot to ask what diameter it is but will find out when I can. From what i know they are all going ti be the same diameter for now.

I know hit is subjective but he told me he prefers the hit of the meucci over his revo as the revo hits harder. I actually prefer a softer hit myself . Sadly I did not get a chance to hit with it because every dang table in the hall was in play. All 14 nine footers and all 13 seven footers.

One negative thing I saw is that the joint diameter of the shaft is slightly larger than the joint on his cue. Like me he has had his cue for quite a while and just ordered the shaft. Its not a huge difference but you can feel a lil lip when running your hand up and down the cue.

Its possible that if you ordered the cue and shaft together the joint diameters would be the same...i Dunno .

Went ahead and ordered one tonight and I should have it in 3-4 weeks. Oh yea....i went the matching rings option instead if a solid black shaft the rings on his shaft match his casino cue perfect.

Let you know how I hits compared to my 12.9 revo when I receive it.

Have you tried Becue Prime-M? It has a softer hit than Revo.

I finally got to hit so.e balls with my friends meuccie carbon pro last night. I was able to do it on a 9 foot table " which I very seldom play on ". While he was taking a short break on a gambling match.

I love it. Hits softer than my revo which gives me better cue ball control than my revo. For those of you that complain about problems sighting with a revo due to no ferrule the meucci has a white ferule. I only hit a couple dozen balls but I think I like the ulra skin medium on it better than the predator soft on my revo.

Also found out last night that the day he ordered my shaft they had just gotten over 700 orders that day for shafts. One order was for 300 shafts . I wound up being number 701 . Might be end of April before I receive mine because I special ordered matching ring work for my gambler.

Oh yea...deflection seems on par with my 12.9 revo. I know hit is subjective but it hits softer with no ping .

Sure don't.. I will try to find out. Something you nigh also be interested in. Joint diameter on my friends shaft is slightly larger then his butt. I mentioned this in my previous post. He...like i ordered the shaft alone to go with a cue he has. Ordering a cue and shaft together may solve this....or not.
