Anyone who knows me knows I don't get high.
Don't even drink Beer.

But as aZ member Measureman pointed out the story about his dog.
The oil used was controlled, MD recomended and administered properly and with care.

My shoulders are busted up from playing ball and legs no better.
Haven't walked more than a mile or 2 for a long time, I miss that.

And as aZ member Chopdoc pointed out the cost is astronomical.
He also mentioned unregulated, that's scary.

All in all, I find myself curious (I am looking at Charlottes Web by the way)

About a month ago I hurt my left wrist at work, and since then the ligament that goes from my middle finger down to the wrist where it attaches has caused me some discomfort. At times the pain is quite noticeable, especially in the morning.

Blue Emu....no help.

Icy Hot....no help.

Wearing a wrist brace at night...no help, and it seemed to make it more painful in the morning.

Ibuprofen helped, but I hate taking that because it messes with my tummy if taken too often.

Saw this thread yesterday, and a light bulb went off. A friend gave me some CBD cream a few months back (a small sample jar), so I rubbed some on this morning. Figured what the hell, it can not hurt.

The pain today has been MUCH better! So much so, that I have ordered a cream that was reviewed well by multiple independent web sites.

It's a $40.00 gamble, but again, WTH.

In order to continue advancing their illogical arguments modern liberals have to pretend not to know things…

I know people that have tried the synthetic versus the plant extract. The cbd from plants was effective for their pain relief while keeping a clear head.

Now shush. Their web pages say they do, so they must.

You know people that tried synthetic CBD? VS plant extract? The reality is, the people you are speaking of have no idea what they consumed.

up to four percent thc - 08-14-2019, 09:44 AM

CBD oil might be up to four percent THC, maybe more! That is the problem with buying a pig in a poke. Anyone subject to drug testing is taking a major risk using CBD extract in any form.

According to the Fed's, the law has long been that marijuana or any derivative is illegal. CBD is clearly a derivative even if it doesn't get you high. Hemp has long been outlawed just to prevent confusion. While marijuana is hemp, it is in the hemp family; not all hemp is marijuana. I believe the Fed's have recently legalized hemp, the stuff without THC.

CBD can be extracted from hemp or marijuana. My state recently legalized CBD from hemp while CBD from marijuana remains illegal. In an unregulated industry how the hell are we supposed to know which is which? Manufacturers statements mean little.

In defense of the kinfolk that thinks the name brand that is heavily marketed from the same place as the cheap stuff is works better, they may be right! Being manufactured in the same place doesn't mean it is the same thing. Sometimes generics are more or less effective than name brand drugs too. The supposedly inert buffers sometimes make the drug more or less effective. I worked in what was once the biggest refinery in the world off and on for years. The truck loading dock sometimes had dozens of trucks lined up. Every brand name imaginable and some no-name trucks would all be in line. It would be easy to conclude that all gasoline is the same but the truth was each buyer had gas mixed to their recipe. The poor Shell drivers had to dump a dozen or two five gallon cans of their magic additive into every load! Even "Octane" is highly misleading as there are endless ways to reach the same octane and some are far better than others.

Even the regulated entities find workarounds, unregulated is very scary. I could get medical marijuana, I could get CBD oil, I'll pass on all of it! I'm not interested in a pig in a poke and I am not interested in accidentally giving up any of my rights. If I take a notion to buy a new gun there is a section on the form about if you use illegal drugs. This is a federal form so this is according to federal law. In states where pot is legal according to state law or if you are a medical user, the answer on a federal form is that you are a user of illegal drugs. Answer yes and you don't get a gun. Answer no and you commit a felony.

I smoked my share of pot when I was young and dumb. Enough to know that legalizing it is going to open up a Pandora's box. I'm staying away from the entire issue.

Willie Nelson believes in the money that is being raked in with cbd.

There are proven benefits to seizures sufferers and some promising research into anti inflammatory benefits, but for anything else it is just a placebo.

Remember what I said before folks. If you are in a position where you profession, employment, or life in general could be adversely affected by drug testing, I recommend you not touch any CBD products.

Why do they keep calling them products and not drugs?

Do folks realize it is a drug?

OMG!

I just got contacted by a dude I know that is gay. He says he mixes CBD oil in "personal lubricant" and him and his partner love it. He said it works even better with a bump of coke.

As a chronic pain sufferer I keep an eye on many things. While I don't read every bit of news, I do try to read what I see. Testing found four percent THC in "THC free" CBD oil best I recall. As you recognize, even less than that might get you up to your ass in alligators if you are subject to drug testing.

When something walks like a duck and talks like a duck I generally call it a duck! Those trying to call drugs anything but drugs are trying endarounds to get out of regulation or the costs of testing. If CBD was declared a drug tomorrow who would shell out the millions involved to test it? Plus it would be off the shelf for years during testing and approval. We have a bunch of get rich quick people involved now. I suspect big pharma would mix it with this and that to have designer drugs they could patent if it was declared a drug.

Declared a drug?

Not sure what that means.

It is a drug.

There is currently ongoing clinical research on it.

The FDA has already approved of one CBD drug, Epidiolex, in 2018.

As of July 2019 in the United States CBD is a Schedule I controlled substance.

So I am not sure what you mean at all by implying it is not a drug or that it is not being researched.

I hate to break it to you, but the marijuana and CBD industry is part of big pharma now. It's in no way a separate thing. In fact, it has been part of that "machine" for years, it has always been a drug. I don't understand how people could have seen it any different even before the FDA was involved...but especially now.
