Pool Hall in Paris France?

Hello All,
I'm going to be in Paris for a few days next week, and undoubtedly, my gf and her friend are going to want to do some serious shopping. This should leave me with a few hours to duck away with my mistress. Searching Google, I was only able to find La Quille. Anybody have opinions on this place? Recommendations for somewhere else? Private home where I will be relieved of my Euros?
Thanks in advance.

La Quille refers to bowling.
Search for 'billard' (no second 'i')
Here's one link...

As I recall, there is a decent place in Montmartre...
Google says:

Last time I was in France I was threatened with arrest for asking people to gamble.

Clichy Montmartre is definitely the place to go. They have pool tables, 3-cushion/billiard tables and poker because it's more of a casino now. It's pretty close to all of the sights in Paris and the poolhall is one of the most beautiful I've ever been to. Definitely something to see if you are there.

I'll be interested to see what you find, as I'll be there in June.

I'll be sure to post a review. From looking at the webpage, it seems like it's a club, w/annual membership fee of 30 euros. I assume there is a table time charge on top of that, but i'll gladly pay to not have to be dragged around from shop to shop.

Honestly, Montmartre is pretty cool. Cooler than pool, I'd say.

I'd be inclined to say skip the pool!

When I was there a few years ago there must have been a monthly or visitor rate because it was no where near 30 euros.

If I were in Paris the last thing I would want to do is play pool. Perhaps you have been there many times and are bored with the city?

Maybe it's just me, but I would avail myself of all the beautiful sights and cuisine while there. Plenty of time for pool back home. You don't get to see the Louvre everyday!

The Clichy club is within easy walking distance of lots of sights such as the Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur and various interesting Museums. Yes, it is possible to spend a week in the Louvre or a couple of days at Versailles, but some tourists like to have at least islands of familiarity and comfort. Like an American breakfast at www.breakfast-in-america.com/ or listening to the pleasant click of pool balls for an hour or two.

salle in Paris

I'm from Paris and I play here :

http://maps.google.fr/maps/place?oe...bf704f,Ivry-sur-Seine&cid=3829312358453455334
We are the biggest pool house around : 24 pools table, 2 snookers , 6 carom.

Around 8 euros per hour, if you play with a guy who plays league for the club you got 50% discount ( just ask the barman who they are :) )

Last advice, don't go to the Academie de Billard, they have now about 5 tables in a small room that you don't even have place to get in position correctly. Otherwise, you can go to ShootAgain. But they don't have as many players as we does.

Hope this help :)
