Sherline Speed Control

Hello,

Got this speed control for cheap and was wondering if it could be used on a Penn motor or is this not any better than the controller that comes with the Penn motor.

If this would be an upgrade how would you wire this up?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

the penn motor controller/motor is only a 2 wire deal, the 2 outside pins...the middle pin.. is a ground. When you hook it up, the motor will go one direction, reverse them and it will reverse the direction.
As for the Sherline, here is a link that shows the hookup for the motor...looks like the setup you have.
