Let's see those Runde era Schon's! - 11-18-2019, 03:28 PM

It's been awhile since I've seen a thread dedicated to these great players. I've had about a dozen or so over the years and I wish I took pictures of all of them. To filter it down a little, let's see just those with sharp points and stitch rings.

To kick this one off, here's an R-12 I had about 10 years ago that played just fantastic

Let's see what's out there

Here's a wild cue. SP-8 + R-8

62" long, even split

Custom made with the original owner's name engraved in the buttcap. All the inlays are ivory and it's so long that it needed to be hand tapered since the taper bar wasn't long enough.

Make sure you check your references before you buy on this site. Even a mod here engages in bad business!

If you're gonna sell cues, buy a scale and calipers.

Main players: 1930's Gilbert Titlist, Custom Olneys. Piloted joints for me.
Play shafts: Cash Cues ferrule-less and OB Classic
Break: X Breaker & Gilbert JB - both w/ OB Break shafts

Love my R series cues - 11-19-2019, 05:54 AM

I have a few. I need a few more but I prefer the lower series. Not much on the higher end stuff.

Third up from the bottom in mine is a Rosewood R2. It's light weight, beat up and really needs a refinish but plays good.

You and me both. But my bucket list cue is a R7.

That thing screams player. My daily player is a R1 and occasionally a R6.

I always have my eye out for an R6 with blue & brown veneers. I know a few are out there, just need to find one for sale.

Here are my two, an R6 with natural and green veneers and an R7. I have three shafts, one 31” @ 9mm I use for snooker and one @ 11mm for pool. One original near 13mm for posterity only.
