Trying to "wrap" my head around this

My sorry attempt at humor.

Cue builders,

I've got an old steel jointed wrapless sneaky. She weighs about 21.5 oz. It originally weighed about 23oz. It was sent back to the builder about six years ago for liposuction. Surgery was performed on her butt, the bolt was replaced with a lighter one, knocking off about 1.5 oz. And that was that.

I had a thought recently, what if a wrap groove was cut, and a wrap put in, probably linen. How much weight would be removed from cutting the groove? I have no clue if it would even make a dent. I suppose the length of the wrap groove would make some difference.

Thanks in advance for your help, I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. I'll leave you with one final sorry bit of humor:

My cue is so fat, when I unscrew the joint, gravy comes out.

That's funny right there.

The wrap groove will be covered with linen or leather . You won't be shaving much weight after that .

That cue must be so forward-heavy now.

Thanks Joey,

That's what I figured. Oh well, it actually plays great, just a bit heavier for my liking.

Cheers, thanks again
