Are any top 3c players trying/using carbon-fiber shafts? Seems like since they can be made any way you want that cf would be making inroads in caroms as well. Any thoughts or news on this??
Thanx. I figured that Predator would be making a Molinari carom version of the Revo before long. Doesn't surprise me that Longoni is in the cf arena. They always stay ahead of things.
I am very impressed with Mcdermott for making carom cues. Not many large U.S. production cue manufacturers have offered a carom line. I can't speak for Mcdermott but I think they maybe open to making a CF shaft with carom players in mind. What better evolution can one envision when dealing with the larger mass of a carom ball than to have a CF shaft. One of the most open players to experiment with equipment is Gilbert Najm in my opinion. We are friends and he currently plays with Frederic Caudron's Longoni cue. I would like to have him experiment with their shaft and get his feedback if he hasn't already.
