What are the options to replacing/restoring worn out surface laminates for rails? Replace the laminate with wood?

New formica is an option and wood veneer is also. Any good cabinet shop should be able to replace it with either and install new sights.
Jerimy Chambers(708)574-9888, builds new custom GC rails and for a very affordable price, they look amazing and I hear they play lights out. The shop I use charges $500 a set for formica or wood veneer and they only do them as a favor to me. Finding someone who wants the work might be a little difficult, but, not impossible. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Thanks Trent,

I've never seen a Gold Crown with wood veneers before, but nice to know that's an option, and someone who will make new custom rails.

Here are some examples from custom projects I completed with wood veneered rails:

No one has asked for that gloss black finish yet? Did Brunswick call that black piano finish or something like that? I always thought that was a great looking table, probably very hard to keep clean though.

I like the look of it: if it aint gonna get PLAYED ON! Finger prints and scratches usually talk someone out of it right away! Matt finish is better for players in my opinion :)

Yeah I kinda figured that the glossy ones would not be easy to take care of and it aint like chalk is abrasive or nothing like that. :shakehead::shakehead:
