What does it take to get a fargorating adjusted?

There is nothing "official" about a starter guess. It is just a mechanism to use local or whatever knowledge or guess to transition people into having a Fargo Rating. It can come from many sources. It generally has use for the purposes of a league or a tournament series or something like that.
And dont expect anyone at play pool csi to act on your appeal.
Mike I have asked other questions about fargorate and have always received great info so I know what a starter rating is:wink: My question , and I wouldn't ask if it wasnt fair , is what if the starter # (rating/guess) is way off? 50 points is quite a swing right?
50 points is pretty small. Two players can can both, for example, be APA 5's and be 50 points apart.
If you're playing league, the league operator can adjust the starter rating, at least in the direction of performance.
If you are signing up for a CSI event, they can review.
