I wanted to let it be known to all having these things that we have one user here who obviously doesn't pay attention to what is written and may cause you to have problems receiving money when you raffle anything off. After all the notification I gave NOT to use "raffle" in your payment, he sure did and I now have to jump through hoops to make it right again. If I didn't need the money I would just refund all money received and just cancel mine, but bills say otherwise. Thanks to those who read and understood directions, it was/is appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about that Jeff. Someones mere stupidity, and lack of
attention; Just a small little detail, can cost someone else much more
work, time, and maybe money. This has happened here before. The
person that had the brain fart outed himself and apologized publicly. I
think that this person should do the same thing. That way, he/she will
think twice next time. Kinda like the person who the judge made walk
around in public with a big bright sign stating what they did wrong as
part of their sentence. Good luck bud, I hope it works out.

Guys my Paypal was recently closed after the Shaftmaster raffle I just did a few days back. No one listed raffle in the description or anything like that. I am thinking Paypal is watching or someone ratted me out, not sure. I know that now I can never have a Paypal again.

Oh and one more thing, they close it and if you have money in there you cannot take it out or do anything with it, they hold it for 180 days. I would not list your Paypal email on here or that your using Paypal, we all know what we are using, people who pick spots should handle it all through PMs with the raffler from now on out. The look at it as gambling whether it is for a good cause or whatever.

They said it was gambling and when they make the decision it is final, you can never have one in your name ever. I am not stressing it too much but it was a convenient way to ship money to people.

When you send the money has anyone tried using the personal payment owed button? Not sure if this would make it safter to use pp. I believe someone brought up why you don't want to do the gift option since they will say gift not received if they do not win....but maybe the payment owed is different??

Wont make it any safer but will make it so Paypal does not get a cut of the cash. Just do not post Paypal or your Paypal email on here, only give it through PMs when the raffle is full.

I think in Lenny's case it wasn't someone else, it was himself that inadvertantly blew the whistle. It's been known for several months now that PP will shut you down if you post your e-mail address in your thread for them to see. Only give it out via PM to participants that you trust.

Sorry to hear about your account Lenny. Hopefully you can get it reinstated. Their previous process for first time offenders was to make you sign something saying that you won't do it again, and then they would reinstate you. Everybody deserves a second chance. :) Glad to hear that no participant put "raffle" in the text, because there is almost always someone who forgets . . .
